The River Tees is extensively dredged year round for maintenance dredging to ensure navigation is maintained and also often for capital dredging projects.
The links below are animated interactive views of the dredging AIS data. N.B. The AIS data may not be complete, so please use with caution, but it does give an idea of what dredgers are actually doing in the River Tees.
